Driver CPC requirement by EU law for professional LGV and PCV drivers
From 10th September 2008, a new legislative directive came into force which will require professional drivers of both LGV and PCV vehicles to undertake ongoing training throughout their driving careers.The Directive covers two areas: Initial Driver CPC (See our LGV Training Page) and Periodic Driver CPC
Periodic Driver CPC
For current LGV and PCV driversAs from 10th September 2009 all LGV and PCV drivers ( categories D1, D and C1, C,C & E) must complete 35 hours of training before 9th September 2014.
The 35 hours of training can be split into 7 hours sessions i.e 1 day a year over a five year period.
